24/7 with Emily Hopkins, Executive Director, Children’s Arts Project
Cornelius, N.C.
My family: Newlyweds! Husband Phillip and our two VERY hairy, four-legged “children” (Jack and Akita)
My work: Executive director of the Children’s Arts Project, artist/crafter, and founder of the Charlotte Craft Mafia.
My passion: Teaching others the importance of their own creativity.
My favorite possession: my sewing machine.
My hometown: I’m a local!
I can’t live without: Books, magazines and my laptop; I am a sponge for information!
One thing I never want to do again: live in New Jersey.
Right now I’m reading: “Kitschmasland!: Christmas Décor from the 1950s to the 1970s,” by Travis Smith
The food I could eat every day: Cheerios
The world would be a better place, if only: everyone would buy handmade!
Something most people don’t know about me: I have a collection of aprons; some old, some handmade, some given to me, and I wear them all the time around the house!
My first job: Rusty’s Deli & Grille
Whose diary would you most like to read? Amy Sedaris; she cracks me up!
Always...remember, tomorrow is another day.
Never...go to bed with dirty dishes in the sink…thank you Betsy for the words of wisdom!
