Buffy realized her penchant for advertising as a child—she wrote and submitted ads to magazines and filmed her own commercials with her dad’s camera. Fast-forward to today: Buffy is chief creative officer for Tattoo Projects, a creative content development company that creates commercials, movie trailers, broadcast and print advertisements, and more.
“I really do like what I do,” she says. “We get to create pop culture, and that’s freaking cool.” Throughout her career, Buffy has been a creative force behind everything from anti-smoking campaigns to Converse shoes, and has received numerous awards for her work, including in 2005 being named “Advertising Mother of the Year” by Working Mother magazine.
“Work and family life mix well together for us, and we planned it that way,” Buffy says. You can find the proof in bookstores—If I Had a Ray Gun, a children’s book co-authored by Buffy and business partner Rudy Banny, was published last month.
