I have a new favorite web site: Postcards From Yo Momma. It’s a web site in the style of Overheard in New York (another favorite of mine), where readers email in bits of emails (or sometimes instant message conversations) they’ve received from their mothers, to be posted on the site and shared with the Internet. I think the age difference for you is OK.  The only thing is that he might be very ready to settle down at 30.  And you have said you are not ready.  Nice that he is cute but not essential.

When I read this site, I can’t help but hear my mother’s voice in my head – and I swear my own mother wrote several of these...I wonder if my sister has already discovered this site!

Still, it’s a nice reminder that even though we may argue about motherhood from whether breast milk or bottles are better to how much TV our kids should watch--when it comes right down to it, “mom-speak” is a pretty universal language.
