I know, it sounds really cocky, right? But this morning, the lovely and talented makeup designer Alison Raffaele did my makeup at Jeffre Scott Apothecary in Piper Glen. (I know! I have the most awesome job ever.)
Alison’s newly reformulated products are environmentally conscious (made from 80% post-consumer materials, Forest Stewardship Council approved, chlorine free, biodegradable, recycled/recyclable), and feel really good going on your skin, because they’re free of a lot of the chemical preservatives that you find in a lot of makeup.
Plus, Alison is a girl after my own heart – she struggles with dark circles under her eyes exactly like the ones that have plagued me since birth (mine are genetic, bt they’re bad enough that people often say to me, “You look like you’re not sleeping well.” I’m probably not sleeping well, but those circles are there whether I’m rested or not.). Her True Concealer is the closest I’ve come to finding a miracle product to make my dark circles disappear. It has good coverage without being cakey or goopy, but it has a powder-like finish.
I am feeling very super model today...especially since Alison has beautified some really famous (already beautiful) faces like Phoebe Cates and Gisele Bundchen.
