Free 4th at the Charlotte Museum of History

For the first time, the Charlotte Museum of History will be open to the public with free admission all day. Special family-friendly activities will be planned from 10am-2:00pm.

Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the grounds, homesite to one of our region’s original patriots, Hezekiah Alexander. Regular tours of the site will be available at 1:15pm and 3:15pm. These tours are limited, and are first come, first serve, so check in at the front desk upon arrival. Children’s activities, available from 10am-2:00pm, will include various colonial games, a puppet show, and a Ben Franklin kite demonstration. Make sure to visit the ToyTime exhibit, which will be leaving the museum at the end of July.
