"Our Bodies, Ourselves" & Obama

"Barack is a dedicated feminist" begins an article in the Tampa Tribune. Obama’s sister, Soetoro-Ng, recalls that he was the man in her life after their parent’s divorce. He taught her how to ride a bike, he scrutinized her dates, and took her on campus tours.

What I thought was especially cool was that he bought her a copy of Our Bodies, Ourselves – an important book published in 1973 that grew out of the feminist movement which addressed health, hygiene and sexuality.
